The International Legal Honor Society of Phi Delta Phi
Phi Delta Phi is an International Legal Honor Society with chapters and members located throughout the world. Phi Delta Phi is a diverse society made up of members of all races, ethnicities, genders and ages that promotes the advancement of the highest intellectual, professional, and ethical standards in law schools and the legal profession. The TCNJ Chapter strives to develop a student’s knowledge of the law and help make an informed decision about pursuing a legal career. All undergraduate students with an interest in law will gain invaluable knowledge of the diverse opportunities that the legal world has to offer. While Phi Delta Phi has a presence at almost every law school nationwide, TCNJ is part of a select group of only 37 other undergraduate institutions who have Halls available for membership.
Factors to be considered by the membership committee include:
- Student has declared the Law, Politics and Philosophy Minor or Law & Society Interdisciplinary Concentration
- Student has completed 2 courses in the Law, Politics, and Philosophy Minor or Law & Society Interdisciplinary Concentration with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 for the minor and 3.5 overall.
- Student has a leadership position in a prelaw affiliated student organization at The College of New Jersey, such as the Pre-Law Society or Mock Trial.
- Student has made a significant contribution to the Prelaw Program at The College of New Jersey.
- Student is faculty recommended.
